I am Teifi Evans and am the joint proprietor, along with my wife Christine Evans, of Troedyraur Farm, Brongest, Newcastle Emlyn, Ceredigion.
I was born at Troedyraur Farm and was raised in an agricultural and equine environment and have continued to reside and actively participate in such an environment throughout my lifetime.
I was educated locally and thereafter farmed at Troedyraur Farm with my late parents and brother. The basis of my knowledge was learnt from my late father T H Evans FRAGS, MBE who was a past President of the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society 1995.
In the early years I assisted my father in the development of pedigree holstein cows and pedigree welsh pigs and now have the oldest herd of pedigree welsh pigs in the world.
In addition from a very early age I assisted in the selection and development of racing studs. The first mare purchased was `Rotondo' who reproduced numerous group winning offspring to include her offspring known as `Sa-Vegas' who won the William Hill Stakes at Goodwood.
I have furthered my experience and specialist knowledge in equine selection and development and have numerous contacts in the equine world.
Having been born, bred and being a continued participant in the West Wales agricultural and equine community, surrounded by arguably the best ponies and cobs in the world, and having dealt and shown the same throughout my lifetime, my vast specialised knowledge and experience allows me to be able to provide essential advice and assistance in the selection of equine stock which are not readily accessible to the general public.
